We started with a vision for RE; to create a unique retail environment. There was no grand plan for the stock we sell, it just had to conform to our idea of functionality, beauty and desirability. The one-off, the mass produced, the new, the old and, if it's fair trade or recycled, that's even better. The RE store opened on the 7th of November 2003 in an old converted workshop at the back of a filling station in Corbridge, Northumberland. It's an old industrial building so there's a down to earth atmosphere in stoRE.
It's a great space with its own charm and character divided into different environments - garden, kitchen, textiles, china room, haberdashery & toiletries to create an ever changing and exciting space. We want customers to have a unique experience in store; with colour, pattern, music, fragrance, humour, and the unexpected, round every corner.
We hope there's something for everyone, with prices to suit all pockets.
You'll find that many of the one off pieces of furniture used for display are also for sale which helps with our ever changing appearance.
Look out for the REgd. logo - our own REgistered brand of exclusive products designed in-house and finally we are very dog friendly - every canine customer will be offered a treat, made a fuss of, and probably featured on our social media!
